CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

What is it and why is it so important for the pregnant and postpartum population?

In simple terms, corrective exercise is targeted exercise designed to help you move and feel better.

A corrective exercise specialist will assess and improve your movement patterns, address imbalances and draw awareness to your individual body mechanics to help you move with intention and efficiency. Corrective exercise is used to alleviate, eliminate or prevent pain so that we can move well in everyday life and train with confidence.

Corrective exercise can help us get back to doing the things we love.

Our bodies are radically altered during pregnancy and there is little support on hand to help us navigate our postpartum recovery. Even if we had the time and energy for a workout programme, how do we know what we should be doing? For the 85% of women who will have a baby in their life, corrective exercise can be a game changer. Does any of this sound famiiar?

"I've always had bad posture but pregnancy made it worse."

"I've no idea when I can start running again - I really miss it."

"Will my abs ever come back together?"

"I had a baby five years ago and I still wouldn't dare get on a trampoline."

"Where have my glutes gone?"

"My back hurts."

This isn't the end of your story. I want to help you get back to the things you love - from running and dancing to picking up your child with confidence. Contact me for a free consultation and we'll get started.
